A message about worship during the coronavirus situation:

Updated on the 23rd March - On the 17th March, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York released the following statement:

https://www.churchofengland.org/more/media-centre/news/archbishops-call-church-england-become-radically-different-public-worship?fbclid=IwAR13ww-wfra5eWW4ycKGf5qW7K8l60LQcLGGZhAg5ZYBeGzApOJCVma3NR8

This means that, sadly but inevitably, we will not be holding any public worship at St. Laurence for the time being - this will extend to all services.

We regret that due to the escalation in the number of cases of coronavirus, as well as the suspension of public worship we have also had to close the church. The church community remains active. If you wish to speak to someone or enquire about any matter, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We have also cancelled Lent lunches, Friday coffee and any future concerts. The Church Halls will also remain shut until further notice.

We will be investigating possibilities for sharing prayer remotely, and resources that can be made available for prayer at home, in the coming days. Updates will be posted on this website and the St. Laurence FaceBook page.

The Parish Office will be closed to people visiting in person for the foreseeable future, but email and phone will be monitored.

Please do get in touch with the Parish Office, Susannah or Fr. Roy if you would like to speak to us about something, if you would like support in some way, or if you have a need for prayer.

May God's peace, which passes all understanding, be with us all.

The Revd Susannah Brasier (Rector)
