A message about worship during the coronavirus situation:
UPDATED ON 5th JANUARY 2021
WORSHIP DURING THE CURRENT LOCKDOWN
Following guidance from the Diocese, and having considered the current pandemic situation in Havering, the Parochial Church Council have, with great regret, taken the decision to suspend all in-person worship at St Laurence until the end of this lockdown or until the Diocese advises that it is appropriate to resume.
Private prayer is also suspended until at least the end of January.
We have been trying to install WiFi in the church since the summer, but unfortunately this has been delayed by technical problems. However, we hope to take this forward and in the meantime will pre-record Mass on a Sunday when possible. This will be available on our YouTube channel:

Our Masses and other online activities will be advertised on our Facebook page - 'The Parish Church of St Laurence, Upminster'.
We will continue with Zoom Evensong on Sundays at 6.30, monthly Zoom Children's Services, and Zoom Morning Prayer and Coffee at 10.45am on Saturdays - for codes to any of these, please contact the Rector: susannah.brasier@upminsterparish.co.uk
We are distributing resources for worship, for adults and children, via email and post. Please let us know if you would like to receive these.
Recordings of some services, together with reflections, and recordings made by our choir, are available on YouTube: -

Our halls are currently only open for groups who are permitted to meet.
We hope that you and your loved ones stay safe and well. Please do get in touch with the Parish Office, Susannah or Fr. Roy if you would like to speak to us about something, if you would like support in some way, or if you have a need for prayer.
May God's peace, which passes all understanding, be with us all.
The Revd Susannah Brasier (Rector)
Like many organisations, St Laurence is suffering financially due to the pandemic and the loss of income from our halls. We would be very grateful for any donations towards the mission and ministry of the church. Please contact us for details of how to give via online banking.
