A message about worship during the coronavirus situation:

Updated 27th June 2020

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, public worship is currently suspended, and all activities which involve meeting in person are currently cancelled. The Halls also remain shut until further notice. The Parish Office is closed but emails are being monitored.

The church building will be open for private prayer from 28th June, on Sundays 2-4pm and Thursdays 10am-12noon. For more information, please see this video:

The church community remains active. If you wish to speak to someone or enquire about any matter, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We are distributing resources for worship, for adults and children, via email and post. Please let us know if you would like to receive these.

Mass is offered for the whole parish each Sunday at 11am by one of the clergy. Recordings of some of these services, together with reflections and recordings made by our choir, are available on YouTube:

Some of our fundraising organ concerts (covering the works of J.S. Bach) are also being posted to this page.

We have a Facebook page: 'The Parish Church of St Laurence, Upminster' where updates are also posted.

We are currently gathering on Zoom each Saturday at 10.45am for Morning Prayer and Coffee and for Evensong on Sundays at 6.30pm. If you would like to know more about this, please contact one of the clergy.

An audio tour of the church building is available here:

We hope that you and your loved ones stay safe and well. Please do get in touch with the Parish Office, Susannah or Fr. Roy if you would like to speak to us about something, if you would like support in some way, or if you have a need for prayer.

May God's peace, which passes all understanding, be with us all.

The Revd Susannah Brasier (Rector)

Like many organisations, St Laurence is suffering financially due to the pandemic and the loss of income from our halls. We would be very grateful for any donations towards the mission and ministry of the church. Our crowdfunding page is available here:
